Categories Updated for Voting Site Smoochr

Smoochr, which I wrote about in a previous post, has had its categories updated. Instead of a broad range of categories covering entertainment, lifestyle, travel, business, etc., the categories have been narrowed down to cover only entertainment and celebrity topics. It’s considered a supplement to Lipstick, which focuses only on celebrity topics.

New Social Voting Site: Smoochr

Smoochr started out as a custom-coded celebrity + fashion/ style voting site but was updated recently to include several other categories. The current category list is as follows:

Auto
Business - business, entrepreneurship, finance, money, debt
Celebrity
Health - health, fitness
Movies - non-made for TV movies
TV - TV shows, TV movies, Internet TV
Travel

Additional categories might be added at a later time. For now, if you have websites that fall into the above categories, go register then start submitting your best content. Have friends register and vote as well.

Note that Smoochr is still inbetween alpha and beta mode, so there are features to be fixed. Use the “Contact Us” link at the very bottom of any page to drop a comment.

Welcome to onMarketing.info. The objective of this site is to cover resources, tips, tools, and techniques that will give SMBs (small to medium business) owners what they need to promote themselves online. This includes discussions of:

Content - weblogs, ebooks, viral videos, how-to videos.
Social media - ways to utilize social networking sites to improve your online exposure without being overly commercial.
Advertising - online advertising and SEM (Search Engine Marketing).
Analysis - split testing, SEO, web metrics, web analytics.
Tools - software that helps in all of the above.

These methods and tools can be used even if the bulk of your business is offline.

While some of the articles may lean towards the technical at times, the framework here is of tutorials and how-tos as often as we have simple discussion. Articles about general business resources and practices will round out the content. The site is aimed at those of you business owners who either cannot afford to hire an agency to do this work for you, or prefer to do it yourself, or simply know the processes for when you do hire.
